RE: begginner needs help

I need a little help. I've never surfed before but I really want to learn. I don't have any friends that know how and the guys on the beach are too busy to teach me. So do you have any tips on how I can go out there and learn without making a total fool out of myself? Also, where can I find a cheap board to learn on? What kind of board would be right for me? I also live in the Houston area but frequently drive to Corpus Christi and Port Aransas so buying a board there would work too.

Janine. Email me. You don't have to go to Port Aransas or Corpus. I'm in Dallas BTW.
