hey i'm actually headed over to the mideast. I've never surfed but really want to learn when I get back. Is there a work out that I can do while I'm there to better any skills for surfing?

hey, man stay safe over there..and this might sound wierd to you, but I've surfed for about fifteen years and the best thing , actually what all the big pro guys in hawaii do too when it's flat, when they're not lugging huge ffing rocks on the sea bottom that is , is ashtanga yoga. better for surfing than karate becasue of the balanced upper body work out, also really good for solo workouts in confined places..recommend Byran Kest's series of tapes, he's one of the best in LA and hardest teachers you can find on tape..anyway, when I do my yoga, my go outs are totally on a nother of luck to you, get your ass home in one piece and get in that water!
