I am making my way down to Venezuela in late December and was wondering if I might be able to find someone on here who would take in a Canadian boy as a surf buddy. Believe it or not, there actually is some good surf up here and I am hoping to catch a few warm water waves while down south. I am on a family trip so I won't have friends with me to surf with and am hoping to find a Venezuelan whom could show me around. Ofcourse I would extend the same courtesy to anyone making there way up to the North Pacific. Also I didn't know if I should lug a board all the way down there or if there are adequate rentals at a cheap price. Any information would be awesome. Tambien, yo hablo un poco de espanol. Shoot me an email or write back on the site.

How did you find surfing in Margarita? Looking to book a last minute trip with my buds who don't surf, but also looking to catch some waves while I'm there if possible. Did you find a place to rent? Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. Keen on the vacay, but not so much if I can't surf there.

You guys go to Parguito Beach and surf there. Maybe you can make some friends and go to other surfing areas like guacuco, puerto cruz....good luck !!! Hope you guys catch good waves. I believe there are some local guys who rent boards in Parguito beach, but not sure. Some of them will sell the boards for cheap price.
