For real good surfing in venezuela i would go from november to february. There are some nice spots in the west of caracas but on my trip i prefered the east of venezuela. I stayed in a perfect surfer posada in RIO CARIBE. The head of the crew called CHino is a Longboard Legend get in contact for a room at his posada --> email@example.com
He speaks very good english. All around Rio Caribe you will find paradise beaches with amazing waves. Like pui pui, chaquarama??, Los Cocos, further out the Peninsula Paria ....enjoy your trip :->

hey i'm from australia and was in caracas last year as a stop over on my way to margarita. Being a white aussie walking down the street i kinda stood out and felt like the place was sort of heavy. I have some venez friends here on the gold coast who want totake me there in july but im just wondering what you think of safety. I plan to surf and photgraph as many waves as possible.

It's not the safest place in the world, that's for sure.
The golden tip: don´t come alone.
