No sharks at all.
Last year was registered the first shark attack in decades, it was in Margarita Island, El Yaque beach; i believe it was a Tiger, but dont take my word for it

Hi, well im venezuelan and we could say that i come from a family of surfers and locals from venezuela, and yeah i confirm the previous word saying that the last attack in decades was in playa el yake margarita, but this is not exactly a beach for surfing, mostly for windsurfing, the water level is very low and we could say with no waves only a strong wind which for windsurfers its perfect, but overall i think that sharks are not a problem when surfing in venezuela!

I doubt you will find any sharks at all, it is really strange finding sharks near the coast of venezuela. . . .
