Surfing on Isla Margarita« on: January 17 2005 07:01:00 »
Hi out there,
a friend of mine (windsurfer) is planning a holiday to isla margarita in february. As a surfer, I've got no detailled infos about the surfing conditions and surfspots there. Now I'm actually asking myself wether to join him or better look for an other destination? Can anybody help me with information?
Thanx - Michael

If you wanna surf, good surf, go someplace else; make money count.

Dean Alexander, I am also facing the same sort of situation as yourself. I am off to Isla margartia this weekend, so I will be looking for something to play on. Just wondering when you are going, because if you are going later I will inform you of what is there. But by the looks of things I do not expect much of anything.

Venezuela is currently in state of emergency, because of major flood all over the central coast of the country. Even whe Magarita has not been affected, as far as i'm informed, it is not really the best of the time to come down here; anyway, try to stay in the island, and don't plan any trips to the main land, since the road lines that connect the east side of the country to Caracas and the rest of Venezuela has collapsed because of this floods, produced by heavy rains occured all week long
