Hi all, Im gonna be in vietnam probably mid april for a month or so, Is there any point in bringing my board and if so wheres gonna be the best place to go? Is there anywhere consistent with decent size waves, or should I forget it? And if you know of any good places to stay- much appreciated

From what i've read on this page and a few others it really depends on the actual time that you're there. Da Nang is supposed to be alright when there is swell or a typhoon. Found a great web page, google search 'Tam's pub' it's in da nang and they actually have a section dedicated to surfing with picks up and I think it even goes through the best times of year for surf. Hope that helps.

You will be a bit early in the year for the swell season, but may luck out (???) if there is a typhoon. You can hire boards there, either through Tam's pub in Danang, or Hoas, 6 km south at Non Nuoc.
