If you go to the falls in Moncton after a forest fire, enough debris forms a 2 meter high barrel....over the falls.   AYYYYY.

There is a spot past the bouctuche dunes about 5 -10 minutes past  you will see a red and white stripe fish plant looks like a circus. some times there are 8 foot waves and sometimes bigger on a windy day.

Out at Buoctouche eh? have to check that out.
It's not a bad drive from Moncton area to Lawrencetown or Cowbay, about 3hrs, could be worse.
What about up northern NB?
Or near the Confederation bridge with the right wind/swell?
Anyone?

Has anyone ever surfed NB when it is good.  I remember seeing a picture in a magazine  a few years ago with some hurricane surf in it.  The spot looked pretty good.  There has to be good surf down by the maine border.  Anyone anyone.

I've never been my self but a friend said he's surfed  New River beach so that might be worth looking into, or even up north in the Shippagan area.

Yes there is surf in New Brunswick. I will be surfing there this summer from late August to September.
Northern New Brunswick
Val-Comeau:  The water's warm in the summer and you'll get surf with a low pressure or storm out in the Gulf of Saint Lawrence or Cabot Straits. You must study the winds for off shore conditions depending on the storm track.
Sothern New Brunswick
Does have waves west of Saint John and will pick up surf from low pressure on the Georges Banks and hurricanes that push into the Bay of Fundy  Window, Like hurricane bill did last year.
The negative about south NB is the water never gets above 7C or 45F. The positive is the winds are offshore 80% of the time and you get a little more fetch which means cleaner surf.

In New Brunswick there is nothing, as far as I know, for rentals, lessons or even a surf community.
The nearest place to NB for everything you need is Lawrence town beach or Cow Bay just north east of Dartmouth Nova Scotia (about a 15 min drive out of the city).

Lawrence town beach is a 4 hour drive from Moncton NB. Is that something that may be possible?

It's Important that your daughter have a good instructor not only for safety but so she doesn't get discouraged. Don't let her go out without a well trained instructor.
