Decent Long Board

Need to get into this soon but need to find a decent board in the Toronto area. Can anyone suggest a place that will sell long boards?  Plan on heading out in fall and winter, so I'll need a wintersuit as well.

RE: Decent Long Board

Good day T.
Just wondering where abouts you surf. I live up hear in the Barrie Stayner area. Novice is an understatement, I did learn to surf 5 years ago on the North shore but I wouldn't call myself a surfer. I r snowboard more than I should but am finding I want to hit the water.  Just looking for feed back from some fellow canucks on locations and equipment.
Cheers

RE: Decent Long Board

Hey B,
Haven't got my board yet, and I snowboard mostly as well. But fell in love out in Costa Rico last year and have had the itch ever since. Still looking for equipment, but Jase said Silent Sports in Thornhill, so I'm going to check it out. I'm just west of Toronto and have some beaches here that have decent waves with certain weather. Let me know if you found a good place to buy boards.
Thanks,
T

RE: Decent Long Board

It's true. I certainly wasn't thinking when I left Costa without a board.

Hey guys, looks like my vacation plans are shot..Was heading South to surf on the East coast.

Anyway I picked up a Bic Natural Surf 7,9 to use and won't be using it..if you want a board that did not see water for$350 in Toronto give me a call.
