Perhaps, but people surf in Alaska, and I've actually seen video of people surfing in Antarctica. (I kid you not; the video footage was included as a bonus on the PS2 game Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer.) I haven't surfed in the snow, but I occasionally surf in Washington state in November, and my 5/4/3 xcel infiniti suit is plenty warm.

Do you have a sea plane? Cus that's the only way you're gettin out there. What isn't deep marshland is unstable shore ice. There are no access roads and good luck walking through that kind of marshlands for kms on end.

I remember seeing waves break around churchill when i was working up there a few years ago, just after ice out. Need to be on serious lookout for polar bears though.

St. James Bay has a great glacial bar left on the eastside of the bay that looks like a reverse gray-water Malibu; when I was stationed there, I wished I'd had a wetsuit (5mm. of course!). The woman have plenty of 'muktuk' to keep you warm. I did find a sun- browned 6'2' Rick (70's?) that might do the triick.

I recall seeing a Polar Bear documentary a few years back and they showed a nice point break at about 4-6'. Very cold obviously and patrolled by polar bears but if you are keen there are waves any where in the world. Might have to take a trip there one year and scope it out.

Arron, you better get to Hudson before all glacial melt will require you to use a longboard (because lowering salinities affecting buoyancy); soon, won't have to worry about polar bears because we've finished off their habitat too! Could become new ASP destination with inceased west swell activity from tradewind patterns accelerating!

The end is near !!!! 2012 !!!!!! Human error was the key. Do not deny yourself from Eternal life and salvation that Jesus wants so desperately for you to have. Jesus died so we could live. Our sins were washed away at calvery. PRAISE GOD !!!!!
