Great Country - Lots of Surf« on: July 13 2004 13:07:00 »
Just got back from a 10-day trip to El Salvador. Saw alot of waves, despite not having a real south swell. La Libertad area has lots of good waves to choose from. You will see some crowds (20+ people) at a peak on the weekend. The East side is really good too. You better like riding rights cause there is only one left in the whole country. By the way, the country is safe and the people are friendly. Don't hesitate to plan a trip to El Salvador.

I'm glad to hear that you had a great time in El Salvador. My boyfriend and I are planning a surf trip in November, and could really use some advice. Please let me know where you stayed.

Just to make sure, do you need any swimsuit over there? I am planning to go to El Salvador in February?

It's true there is lots of surf here. Save yourself some money and go with any group except punta mango. They give you half the service and twice the price of anyone. And their guides can barely surf on top of it all.

I'm headed to La Libertad from The Great White North (Canada) with 5 buddies in Feb, any recommendations on places to stay? Are reservations recommended?
