easiest way to get to the surf from nadi« on: August 29 2006 08:08:00 »
a few mates n i r staying in nadi for 4 days on our way to canada. pretty keen to get a few waves while we are there (preferrably lefts!!). how would we go about this?? is fiji all reef breaks as well or are there beachies too?
also we've been told by our air travel company we can only take 1 luggage bag, no boards or others bags either. wats the chance of picking up a board cheap or even as a last resort, hiring one??
thanks heaps, troy

I hear Viti Surf Legends has boards to rent & surf trips. I am having a hard time finding a website for Viti Surf Legends. I am begin/intermediate level. What's your advice? Thanks,

Hey guys...this may or may not be too late...but if your looking for any good sets you cant really just walk up to any beach and paddle out.....on the mainland theres a few good spots one of which if beach....the rest are pretty much reef break...if your a beginner make sure your checking you tides and head out to natadola beach ask anyone...they'll tell you how to get there either that or head out to club masa for reef break ....the boys at the resort are very accomodating (otherwise known as the sigatoka sand dunes.

Just go to Club Masa in Sigatoka and travel to cloudbreak on a saturday morning. Take a fishing boat from a town on the mainland and pay the ten bucks to the lifeguard. The reef is soft!
