I am an Aussie travelling alone for the second time to france in June. Last trip in 97 saw a month long flat spell. Am travelling over from UK as have english wife and visiting her home in South for two months.
Anyway I was after any tips on where to stay around Hossegor, I am very interested in the place mentioned for 23 euro, where is it etc etc. Also do you know of anywhere similar to hostels/backpackers but more surfer orientated and without the kids..

the french and spanish atlantic coast are full of beautiful waves! I think you should by the stormridersguide for europe, in there you have all the best spots.
I live in Hossegor and we are having beautiful waves all year round. I am running a surfhouse 50meters from the Hossegor beach. Mabye you want to check it out?:-)

I'm heading to the South of France at the end of April and would really like to learn to surf and meet up with cool people. I'll send you guys an e mail but I'm not sure if my e mail account is active at the mo. Let me know...

ahoy there captain...you have come to the right spot...the best place is where i am basing my business near aquitaine..numerous cheap camping and cheap boards etc... i can provide you with equipment and also provide you access to all the surf spots for cheap rates...although some kind of bond is necccessary generally in the form of cash incase you do not return...and also ID.... i have two very big, powerful 4x4s which will enable access to secret locations and provide some serious off road action during the flat days...how it works is i take you into a good, isolated surf spot, drop you off for however long you wanna stay than come back and pick you up...also can
