as far as i know there's no surf spot in malay. but the malaysian has artifical waves to surf. last news ,i heard balinese surfer won a surf contest and followed by a local runner up.

I also have seen some photos of waves in Malaysia, the photos were of this website but I cant seem to find them now?

Now the Hawaiins will really have something to complain about !!! When the Malashins join the surf tour, come the Pipe masters, there will be bigger crowds on their beaches because of artificial wave Pools.

There are some surf activity within the Desaru beach in Johor. Beginner level. Mostly locals and some Singaporean for breaks in weekends. Surfed there once - long baords and boogie boards. Secluded area.

Malaysia have more than 30 surf spot by the penisular & the island (Tioman Island & Sri Buat Island)
By end of this year we have 3 main surf competition
1.Cherating Surf Competition
2.Desaru Surf Competition
3.Tioman Surf Competition
