I was there last September , there wasn't much swell anywhere in Indo at the time, but it's suppose to get a lot of swell most of the time.  There's no way you can surf Nihiwatu unless you stay at the resort ... Believe me , we tried !  Even the boats that go there get kicked out .

yeah sumba cops shit loads of swell try the east end a small town call pero with 2 spots breaking into same channel gets LOTS of swell good waves but the spot has a strange vibe i rekon, is kinda spooky. lot so of other good wae sill let u find em. as for occys left(nihiwatu) yeah i stayed in the village watukere which is in hills above the opposite end of beach its a bit of a hike down and back to surf it and we even got kicked out of the water when no one was in just becasue of the fukwit who owns the resort wants it exclusive, they even had a local on the beach with a machete!!

the owner Claude has the locals onside through money and has no respect for the oceans/surfing/ life etc he comes to that area where they are peaceful people and teaches them this sort of behaviour!!let him die an old lonely man still cluthcing to his piece of the world PATHETIC. of course once we got out the so did the big wanker Hawaiians and it went unridden all day, as for the wave mate its ok its good yeah but it aint g-land, supersuck, deserts, scars, maccas, padang, e-bay, asu, afulu, hell even fukn racetracks gives u a better barrel than this joint so all in all its good thats it mate when in indo u can get EPIC, so dont bother.

I'm from Brazil and  going to Nihiwatu for 2 weeks in August in a honeymoon trip. How is the surf there? There is any right hands wave? Do you have any photos to share?
Good waves,
Luiz

You better get your facts straight Bro. Nihiwatu is world class. All breaks are tide and swell sensitive. Dont talk shit about Mr. Graves unless you have met him. You talk like a coward!

Respectfully submitted,

dont go to that resort, not worth the money or even to give $ to the owner because of trying to make it only for the lamos that can afford it...been there and it a full-on rip.

no respect to these people...
