Has anyone been to surf camp sumatra and can you give me a heads up? Is there a variety of levels of surf (I'm intermediate but would take a few days to get my skills back)? Is there a better place to go? I know Bali rates higher but I'm not into crowds nor good enough for top to bottom barrel and sucky reef action. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Has anybody stayed at Paradise Surf Camp? I assume from the review of Surf Camp Sumatra that this is not our spot - something I had suspected from other hints such as the Ombak Indah "origins" section. Or do you have other places to recommend at Ujung Bocor? We are heading there in February 2011.

I stayed in Paradise surf camp last year (although it wasn't called that at the time as had only just opened)....Pretty basic bungalows, but the owner Rene is quite a character and will always make sure all your needs are answered...Awesome food and good laughs

Crazy place to go if you are just tuning up your intermediate skills. Hang in Bali/Kuta and stay out of the way clown.
Kooks are making Indo as bad as Kirra on a Sunday!!
If you do go expect to be shredded by the coral.
Have a nice day now.
