Hey Tom, I've only been surfing a short while and when I started I went up to Bundoran, Donegal. There's a surf school there called the Donegal Adventure Centre which is pretty good. Plus the surf tends to be more consistent up there than in Tramore. The one piece of advice I'd give you is that the instructors don't volunteer all that much info, but if you ask questions they'll give you plenty of good tips.

thats unlucky mate, i didnt even know u guys had swell in Ireland. Im from Australia, cronulla to be exact and there is plenty of surf schools here if u blokes ever come over, later my lil lepracorns

If not then stop talkng here it pisses me off when i see people in an area of talking wothout even being the rirsh well that racist but not in those words i am 2/3 irish well i am irish and american an other stuff! I had lessons with Donegal Adventure Centre also. Ben is the Man! So ask for him. He also gives lessons in Lahinch.
