I just got back from three months working in Salina Cruz doing contract work for the refinery.  The winds are horrible and blew 90 percent of the days.  The few days that were surfable the surf was mushy and boring. The town is very dangerous as well.  Do not go out after dark and be careful if you leave your car or girl on the beach.  Puerto is a much better place to catch a wave.

The bad conditions for surf are from october to march, from april to august the surf is really great, right now the waves are 6-8 ft all days. The town is not dangerous at all, you could even leave your stuff at the beach and nobody is goin to take it because the beaches are completly isolated and without crowds, is a surfers dream.

de febrero a septiembre hay olas en las beach conocidas por lo regular para surf, pero despues hay una beach, en especial que en los meses de noviembre, diciembre, enero, hay un beacberak, pequeño pero divertido, asi que si hay olas todo el time.

I'm booking a trip to this area this May, and I'm wondering if you would recommend this tour over the other one in town (cesar ramirez through wavehunters). Any insights or advice would be great. Thanks.
