Best Surfing around Mazatlan« on: February 02 2005 10:02:00 »
I plan to be in Mazatlan for one week and am interested in solid waves. I am planning on renting a car so I can get out of the city and hit the good waves. Where should I go for the best waves and where should I stay along the way for cheap?

In the spring you will get mostly reefs and points. very consistent. In the summer, more breaks start to work as the rivermouths form epic sandbar surf. Just watch for the rains and plan for navigating through some muddy terrain.

Allen - I decided to post a message to you here, because this page is where we first found your camp. I think the work you put into our surf trip deserves a serious "thank you." The DVD's came out great and I appreciate you making copies for us. I had the guys over last weekend and we drank Coronas and watched in awe of you and our crew surfing those giant waves. It was nice to see that great day of surf captured on a DVD. Our neighbors were in shock. Consider how little money we spent on the air and the hotel, seriously!! Thanks again for a great trip. We will be down for the next BIG south swell!!
