Utilize the satellite cameras and search the coast south of Brownsville - you WILL see a variety of openings or "cuts" in the barrier island. There are plenty of spots, we surfed 200 miles south last Christmas and got our choice of five different breaks all in site of each other. Now if you don't like deserted beaches, all the shrimp you can stand to eat and crystal clear waves - don't go. Better stay with your kook homeboys and battle it out for the same old worn out west coast attitude. Seasons greetings

Bogus info, there is No 'Mexican Caribbean'; ever hear of the Gulf of Mexico (different currents, winds, depths, and, surprizingly no corals).

Yo, Scott- are you really Tom? Is the Mexican Riviera now Pacific because of water flow into the' Gulf of Mexico because of the Panama' Canal? These Georgia high school drop-outs are too common; well, at least you'll never find Supertubes or the Sinkyone!

There are plenty of spots to find great surf in carrib side of mex.  Check out veracruz. And its a short trip down to pacific side to puerto escondido." the mex pipeline". Just dont forget to get your tourist visa at yhe border for 22 dlls. I own surf shops and live here for the past three years. Just do your homework and if you plan on going to baja california look up gringo gazzette newspaper to see whats happening.
