revolcadero beach in front of the princess hotel(a 15 min ride from downtown) can have some very decent surf(a lot of closeouts on bigger days). bring a board and wax cause the surf scene in acapulco is still in its infancy. for better surf head south just a bit to bonfil. i dont reccommend surfing the waters beteen revolcadero and bonfil, ive heard that it's pretty sharky.

basically at revolcadero you can find some fun surf in bathtub temperature water, but be real careful cause i cant emphasize enough how dangerous the rips and undertow are in acapulco. ive seen a lot of people near drowning, and i've had to check myself more than a few times while surfing. dont do what the locals do and go leashless or too far out cause they were born in these waters and i guarantee they can outswim you. you need a bit of time and you gotta rent a car or find a cab with a roof rack cause the beaches that have surf are off the main touristy areas. they are worth going to even if you dont surf though, cause the bay beaches and water are dirty as shit.

I'm going to Acapulco for 2 weeks in december. I was wondering if there are some decent boards to rent in the surfshops. I also wanted to know how far is Bonfil from Acapulco and if there is a surfshop near near Bonfil. Oh yeah... How big are the waves gonna be?
Thanks for the help in advance!
