As far as staying in Chicama their is a hotel at the bottom of the point. Its alright , worth it if chicama is going off. As far as internet I would say no? Your better off staying in Huanchaco to the south until the swell gets big enough for Chicama. Chicama is old fishing town with not much to offer for when the surf goes flat. Or go north to Pacasmayo which is another left point which offers everything. P.s. just make sure you go to this area during its season or it can be a long wait.

I found a great place to crash in Chicama is calle Iguana Inn hotel is one block from the seashore like the other hotels but the prices are really reasonable. I got a doble room for 65 dollars and the awesome thing is that you don't have to spend money in eating out... you can use the kitchen to cook.

I stayed at lOS DELFINES for $10 a night, it was clean, perfect view, balcony and all the things a surfer need after a full day surfing Chicama. Well recomended.
