Get yourself over to Clan Skates in Glasgow, the guys there go on trips everytime there is surf and I am sure you would be able to tag along!

I'm not the most qaulified person on Scottish swell magnets but, i've been here about a month now and after my initial frantic search for surf, things have sadly quietened down . Anyway, these are the spots I've been to so far:
30 mins east of Edinburgh is the beautiful long beach of Belhaven, and then south from here, Pease bay, followed by the more sheltered Coldingham.
And I believe there's a few other spots along that the stretch.
If you're up for any adventures north or west, just drop me a line; currently going through a phase of dreaming of surfing!
Hope the info helps

The best place to go near to Edinburgh is Pease Bay / Dunbar, it's a wee bit down the coast, but the guys at the Surf shop Puro Nectar will tell you if it's looking good (they're in Dunbar). I think its puro nectar surf dot com (it is I just checked).

I would look to Dunbar, I was down there a while ago, nicer atmosphere.
Pease bay is full of idiots who think they are really good at surfing and the 'look and talking the talk' but wouldnt be able to surf on proper big Scottish waves on north coast or west coast. Mmmm, lets all cling to that horrible sewer outlet side of Pease to get 'the wave'.
Coldingham is nice too but small bay.
