There are in south. I am not sure about the name of the school. But if you ask for the k16 surf shop , you will find what you need. They are the friendliest to non-local poeple and will go out of their way to accomodate your needs. should be a good time for surf !

i know the best surf school in tenerife, exactily in las americas. it is cold K16. there's also a good surf shop, with a lot of stuff. you can also rent a board there, or diving equipement. they repare boards there too.
there are a lot of bars and pubs there. it's five minutes to la fitenia on foot.
the most important thing are people there. when i came to tenerife from 'nowhere', they took care about me, gave me a board and everything. amasing people, helpful, very good surfers, very good friends.
good luck, if you ever go to tenerife, you must go to k16.

yes it is, there is actually a surf shop in play da las americas near the metropolis beech. it sells all the surf gear you need.
They provide lessons where they will supply you with the gear and will show you what parts of the water to avouid due to rocks.
