Hi Deb,

I live in Bali with my wife and 2 young boys. Trust me when I say I wouldn't have moved here if i didn't think it was safe. He will have a great time if he keeps his head. The surf is great and there is a wonderful camaraderie that one doesn't find in the real world.

We too stay out of the "kuta/tourist areas' most of the time but I will go in there today to pick up a board I am having fixed. You can avoid it some of the time not all of the time.

First of all some of you arragant arseholes have no idea.

You can get a job in indo.
If you have skills you will get payed shit loads.

Im an electrician into industrial control and my work mate just got a job living in sulewesi $140 000 a year aud
with a house a car fuel, phone etc etc.

Last time i was in bali a few aussie met were working in the waterbom and other places two guys in the bungy towers were getting around $200 a week.
You can live a great lifestyle in bali on that money.

Some of you sound like kooks who havent been anywhere writing off for the sake of it.
