And for the last time, hindi ako taga-wave pool at hindi ako rich kid. Wala akong perang pang-enroll sa wave pool.  If you can't compete with Darryl or whoever actually owns the wave pool in Manila, then shut the hell up.  Puro kayo inggitero.
I read the whole thread & all those @ssholes who kept on posting about how the wave pool is bullsh!t are all missing the point of the thread.  You are all a bunch of envious hypocrites. People like you are the reason behind the ever-so-slow progression of surfing in the country. Grow up! You locals want support from the industry to send you abroad for comps? Then let the number of surfers grow by supporting each other's endeavors.

Saan mo gusto paabutin 'to?

I'll be chill & explain it further for you. If the number of surfers grow, so would the industry. When the industry grows, talented surfers (like yourself) would be able to get enough sponsorships to train & compete outside the country. Don't we all want this? The point is that you guys have posted enough negativity on this thread (& others) that there really is nothing else to post. Why don't you guys start thinking of helping each other? There is strength in numbers.

Ricky, you sound like you were raised with a yaya, a maid that cooks and cleans for you everyday and a driver to take you anywhere anytime you want. What i'm trying to say is that you don't know what "paying your dues" really mean. Judging from what you write, you have a pampered life and think that everything can be attained through technology and that all Pinoys will be better off if we believe what you say. Bullsht. Go to Cloud 9 and ask any of the surfers who win contests how much they paid for a lesson or a surf pool entrance. Then think about what you said. Pinoys have been able to do the most with the least amount of "technology" for the longest time. You're a kook, stay with badminton so you can be just like everyone else with money who can afford to pay the court club fees.

Tim, what is up with you & your friends? You have no freakin' idea where I'm from & who I am & yet you insist that I am a dude with a driver, grew up with a yaya, learned to surf in the pool & now I play badminton. Oh yeah, that's right, I am articulate so I MUST be rich. Did you even understand my post to Sarper in Tagalog? Have someone read it & ask them if it even "reads" rich.  I completely know what you mean by paying my dues. Yes, I learned the "hard" way by borrowing boards, wiping out all the time (knocking the wind out me countless times), almost drown a few times, getting bruised & being respectful to locals. Don't make conclusions about who I am based on what you want to believe. You still wouldn't know who I am.  But I now know who you are. You could thank Sarper for that.

The more you try to disect my posts, the more you make yourself look like the Kook.  Did I ever say technology is the only thing that would make surfers in the Philippines better?  NO. The thread is about the wave pool & if it helps or not. The answer is yes. It helps in one aspect of surfing. Not everything about surfing but at least one aspect of it. You REFUSE to see that. Is the wave pool for advanced surfers? I don't think anyone said that here. You're pissed off at me right now because I'm shutting down every stupid post you & your friends come up with. How about being constructive for once. From what I've read here, you overcharge those who are from out of the country. It doesn't really speak to well about your character does it? And the bigger clincher is, you still have no f@ckin' idea who I am.

"wiping out all the time (knocking the wind out me countless times), almost drown a few times, getting bruised"

Are these the reasons why you decided to pay for wave pool lessons? Did the wave pool lessons prevent it from happening again?
Ricky, just wear a life vest or stay at the badminton courts. You changed your tone after having been corrected from my last post. Any way you try to explain your point of view, it still comes off as telling Pinoys that being taught surfing through technology is a better option. Not all Pinoys can afford it. It's been said so many times. We're surrounded by water, keep it clean and take advantage of it's offerings.
