Howz it! Just found this site and think it's great. Who'd think it Surfing in Ontario! Anyhow I have lived in Canada most of my life but being South African have gone home quite a few times and surfed some great spots (still a grommet though). Watched guys at Dungeons (comparable to Jaws or Mavericks) and have watched some of the great ones at J-Bay. If anyone knows where else I can get a board for cheap that would be great! Wow to surf in my own backyard!!! If u evr get a chance to surf SA do it, just watch out for the big grey dorsal fin it's not always a dolphin!!!!!!!

If lakes are for losers then so are surf parks but I've read articles and seen pics of Sunny Garcia, Kelly slater etc. practicing at them. So does that mean 2 of the best in the world are just a bunch of hodaddy's and haole's? If you got no respect for the the lifestyle and the people in it maybe it's time to find something else to do. When I went home in 2000 (Cape Town South Africa) I was awakened to this by some of the best in my country. Went to Crayfish factory (in Cape Town) with some cousins and some of the best surfers in SA. We arrived at 7am. To my amazement they all got together and shared in a prayer for one another's safety. They explained that this wouldn't be the best place for me to learn, but took the time to teach me the currents and about the breaks. Cont....
