Hi Patrick, I arrive in Goa on the 11th March,Not sure if you are still around then, if you are then you're welcome to a few hours with a board, if not you will be able to borrow one from one of the shacks on Morjim Beach, try planet Hollywood shack and if not there i know the adjacent shacks have boards standing outside, they are not great but will do the job.
Try searching google images for morjim beach i know there are pictures showing the waves there, they are taken from the old fort on the opposite side of the river to Morjim.

The best beaches in the north of Goa are adjuna and baga. sometimes strong ripes can occur, but a surfer should have no problem. Im going to palonum soon, which has some decent surf. codtitions are very clean until 11 ish tides can vary alot

I am arriving in Goa tomorrow with my board (which hopefully hasn't been too dinged by Air India). I am a beginner and would like to go out surfing with other surfers if there are any about, especially until I know the rips etc for each beach. Looking to try to get to Palolem/Patnem area especially. Will be in Goa for the next 6 months or so. Give me a shout if you want to meet up.

I went there a couple of weeks ago, just for the weekend. not really any waves, but i guess it is depending on season, the moon and what not.
BUT, there is a guy who rents surf boards (and windsurfing) at the (almost) top north of Baga beach, in one of the beach shaks
