You can surf on the lake.... Where/WHEN oh yeah,.... I have just moved here the warm of Canda..(yeah right this place is cold..fook)... and all but given up on seeing any waves until I can take a flight to someplace far and hot... then I was told you can surf the lake.. time to unpack the boards... wax them up and head to the LAKE (sounds so odd saying that.. you can surf on a lake... wow no salt.. that is wrong.. going to have to poor salt into my mouth before I head in...to make it feel like surfing)...!

The lakes usually go off beginning in October and calm down in May. The only problem with surfing the Lakes , is that the swells aren't consistant, and stay for hr. periods instead of day periods. Wave conditions are usually wind blown mush, but , can on occasion smooth out. wear the heaviest wetsuit you own and prepare to freeze. But It's all worth it for a stokey delicious knarley ride. Just ask Tom from Rochester !!!! He's surfed Ontario at 15 ft. plus and does it all the time. Or is it Riff,........Or Riptide, Or.......?

I can’t believe after all of the responses submitted in the past months nobody has initiated any movement.
If all it will take is one person with leadership skills to step forward I am willing to be this person.
Anyone who is actually serious can e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have been surfing the Great Lakes for 5 years and have a well rounded knowledge of surfing. I also know where to get equipment and find good spots to ride. Reply only if you want to surf new spots with other riders who are serious, as I don’t have time for bullshit about who is a kook and who isn’t.
