yeah i saw there was a big northerly swell coming in around then, whos got the boat then?? saw some swell coming in on sunday on the south coast but didn't know where to go to pick it up. looks like it gets a bit messy on the reef...
1 hour aint too bad, did a day trip to the coast for some crappy 2ft from london, 9 hour round trip in one day. send me an email if you're going out one day, i see there might be a south swell about thursday though not sure with the daylight savings i get enough light. hmmmm night surfing on the reef, cool. email@example.com

tomorrow could be fun. after the front went through the wind went side shore and the massive storm waves ( i saw roughly a 18ft face wave break) stood up outside the reef line and looked inticing. it was the biggest waves i have seen in awhile. i saw the reef barelling too. nice thick slabby guy. hopefully tomorrow the wind will go to the north and shape those waves up. i plan on being at the reef at dawn. maybe dunks when tide gets higher.
gotta to get on it, will be gone in no time.

fun day yesterday. waist to chest, with occasional head high. pretty hollow with offshore winds too. cleaned up later, but wind swell died throughout the day. we need more strong cold fronts like that!

Heading to Bermuda around Christmas time from CA. Is it worth it to bring my board (shortboard)? Is there swell around then usually, and if so, how big on average? Also, will I need a fullsuit? Really looking forward to it, but want to know what I need to bring and it seems hard to find info out about surfing there. any help is much appreciated!!!!

if you are coming for longer than a week, i would recommend it because we often get windswell with passing cold fronts. it is usually not too big, but pretty fun (waist/chest-HH). mianly reef breaks, with some beach break. there is potential for less and more, really is very dependent on the weather set up for the time period. you could check a long term forcast to see if your board is needed.

it looks like real short period wind swell and it doesn't look like the wind is going to go offshore till the waves will almost be gone. keep your fingers crossed though, might get a nice sescher out if we are lucky
