Guys,
This debate has nothing to do with nationality.  It has EVERYTHING to do with intelligence, or lack there of, awareness, or lack there of, compassion, or lack there of, respect or lack there of, care, or lack there of, and so on.

It's a great concern John has none of these attributes, along with the others who have showed their own deficiets on-line. However, what you are is what you choose.  john - you will remain a single, lonely man if your attitude doesn't change.  Have you considered us Australian girls and women are your sisters?  Albeit unwillingly, but nevertheless we are a part of the intelligent (?) human race.

I hope you wake up and consider your ignorance.

i was born in adelaide,
i live in the states now.
it's not cool to say that kind of stuff mate.
it pisses me off when americans ask me if there is civilization in australia.
but you stereotypical wankers are just as bad the rest of them.
get your head out of your arse and realize you can't judge a person because of their nation.

Well said, America does have major problems. Australia is no shining jewel of the Pacific either! Love your girls though! Shaggy a few myself!

Hey Im an American planning on studying abroad in Australia, It seems both from reading this forum and from what an Australian friend of mine has said that Aussies have a negitive opinion of Americans. My question is, how hard will it be for me to get past this stereotype? So that I can meet Australians and have a uniqely australian experience during my study abroad.
