I just emailed a bunch of ppl, but basically, I'd love to find a board, wetsuit, and ride to a beach with anyone. Also, let me know if you are going on any trips in August

Hi, My sister recently came back from Brasil and brought her surfboard along with her. She was only just learning back in Brasil and I have never tried surfing before. Anyways, I am looking for begginner surfing spots where we could go surf. I've read about the basics of surfing but I won't really know untill i try it myself. We live about an hour outside of T.O. If you could let me know about some good spots that are close by, that'd be wicked.

hey all...there may be another surf spot in Ontario that has not, as far as I can tell, be mentioned in this thread.  Here is what someone wrote under the Sufing in Quebec thread (a thread worth reading too):

"Besides that: Sand Banks past Picton in Ontario. Swells kick in after 2-4 days of 15k+ SW winds."

cheers

Has anyone been out surfing in Ontario in the last couple of weeks? If so, I would love to hear about it...where? how were the conditions? tips?

I'm planning on heading out to Alona Bay for the long weekend...hopefully there'll be some decent wind and ridable surf!!!

cheers
