Want to find good boards in Costa Rica?
Go see Carton Surfboards in Calle Madrigal, Jaco.
They got good materials, good shapes and good vibrations with the feeling that only Costa Rica surfing can give you.
Check the website: for more.
see you on the water!

Yea, you can get a great board from Nika surf in hermosa , right off the main highway, just look for three hanging surf boards after you pass the beach on the road towards esterillos, Fabio, has been shaping boards for multiple companies , like carton for many years... as an employee (so he did a lot of other peoples boards..) but now he has his own shop.. for a video check out my website or for contact info too!

Looks like the FIscher Bros went out of business. The website is still running but their shop in Hermosa is closed!

Seems like Carton is the place to go, I have never heard anything bad about Carton.

In case you are looking for a good rental board you should try:

Another local brand is Banzaii, but their website has been down for some time.

Be aware that now Channel Islands, Lost, JC, Bill Johnson, Rusty (maybe China) and more are made in CR with local glassing and sanding at US prices but not the quality and standarts.
