El Sunzal and El Tunco beaches are some of the best surf spots in the country. Visit Tortuga Surf Lodge with wide variety of surfboards for rent and the best rooms. We also offer surf tours from Decameron Salinitas. Ask for information at the office of Decameron Explorer.

How much do boards go for there?  I have a about 5 boards that I wanted to bring down and sell most of them b-4 I came back.  (board taxes are outrageous!)  Do you need certain size/types of boards for your shop?

My wife and I are considering going to the Decameron Salinitas for a golf vacation in Feb. 2007 for 2 weeks, we are wondering what is in walking distance of the resort. We like to walk after golfing and we are hoping that there is something to see. Thanks.

Hi All, I will be going to Royal Decamaron Salinas in June and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what color the carpets are in the lobby; or if they have carpets. I would also be grateful for any information about whether the toilet flush system in the room is a push button type, lever type, or even old fashioned chain type.
Thanking you in anticipation

There is really nothing in walking distance. The resort is about 5km of the main Hwy. Sonsonate is about 20km away, it is a very colonial town. You will find churches going back to the late 1800's. People are very friendly. Just as any town in the US or any part of the world you will find bad parts of town. Happy ventures!

The lobby doesn't have carpet.  It is tile.  The toilets are regular with chain.

Thanks for the info, Ela. I think I will cancel my reservation as the toilet is a chain type flush. I dont think it is very hygenic.
You didn't happen to see what color the curtains are in the toilets did you?
That may sway my decision.

Hello David, I don't know about the curtains, but I do know they use the metal drain stops in the tubs and not the rubber ones.
