RE: surf in el salvador is world class... is it? >>> i'll find out in 3 weeks« Reply #2 on: May 27 2005 19:05:00 »
Whew! Finally I will travel to Central America. I am Asian so I might have some culture shock. I will be staying for 3 weeks. Maybe you guys can tell me the hottest ans safest place to go. I am very very excited. My spanish is really awful that's why I am practicing before i go. Any suggestions. It makes me more scared when I read the guys experience. I am going to La Achadura, Ahuachapan and to Guatemala. My friends say he'll take me to Sonsonate. Those are the places that I am going to be. Maybe you can give me tips on where to go and not to go. Thanks

Hellow threre !! I was born and raised in the City of Sonsonate, a Superb hot and humid place !! Back then it was heaven and a great place to live. I'm not sure what has changed nowdays, but I heard that it is real modern and nice. ONe recommendation, whatever you do, follow a curfew and avoid being out in the street after 7 p.m. Never travel or walk alone. Enjoy your trip and take care.

dont worry about sonsonate, i got family members that live around there and you shouldn't have any problem around there. But that doesn't mean not to watch out. Just always have your eyes open b/c u r a girl!

The surf cottage sounds perfect for what my buddy and I are looking for. Been to Costa Rica , Narajana, Hermosa, Mal Pais couple times. Need something a bit more remote. What are the prices and what are the best times. Able to pay in advance. Please let me know

Does punta roca and el salvador in general get good surf in the late winter months? Say, march/april?
