Listen to this guy above! Exactly right! You know, sometimes I wonder if the people who post these replies even surf in England in May. A 5:3 is preferable with 3mm boots in early May. Its just about the time I change to a 3:2 with boots then drop the boots at the end of May. Forget shorties in the UK and save them for France in Sept.

nah... common... boots? neva wear them, sorry to the rest of these guys but i find they restrict what i can do on a board... it isn'that cold in may usually but yea like the guy abouve said... it depends on youre durance to the weather. sorry about the not liking boots but i usually surf in australia and it just makes riding there hell, maybe just bad experiences. but yea if u fancie a wetsuit then by all means, i neva really wear one personally but i do wear a wet shirt. the more you wear on the boared the harder it is to surf.
