Hey, after selling my board last year (was poor!) I want to get back into surfing again. Although I am still learning, can't take on 20ft waves just yet! I want to meet people who are basically up for the same thing - venturing to the coast ! I'm up for the next meeting at Potion Bar, is the next one on the 29th? Looking into getting a new board but wondered whether sometimes people have old ones they're selling, as I don't really want to pay out loads for a brand new one. Be great if someone could let me know...cheers

Your best bet is to get a car, Since the waves in cornwall are fickle and the public transport is a joke,
The north coast is your best bet September/october you will get good waves and the water is less busy.
I live on the north coast near padstow and there are loads of waves

Am currently looking for a job in London and will be commuting from Broadstairs. If you get yourself sorted with board etc then let me know as would be cool to meet other girl surfers. Is very scary out there alone when your eating sand!

You guys should both show up on the 29th. If you want to meet other surfer girls, then the club will be perfect, there is a good mix of guys and girls and experience levels go all the way from never stood on a board before joining to 10 year+ veterans from.
Also the club will be able to give you advice on where to get second hand boards and stuff.
Just come along and introduce yourselves. Look for a guy call Ben [club president] and he'll tell you all you need to know.

No worries mate. I've been driving over to pawthcrawl in south wales and its been amazing. north devon is really good too. cornwall is all well and good if you have a few days cause its a monster trek. but if you only have a day then wales is the way forward. if you dont mind the drive which goes pretty fast. I'm trying bournemouth this weekend as it is looking good. my advice is get on amazon and buy yourself a uk guide. good luck.

I just bought a couple of surfboards and a wetsuit (5/4/3mm). I am dying to go for a paddling session at least, if there are some waves even better.
I do not have a UK driving licence (actually i don have a valid driving licence, the peruvian driver licence expired), therefore I cant rent a car, but If any London surfers have the kindness to give me a lift to the beach would be very much appreciated.
I am dying for a surfing session. Anywoy I would like to join the club so therefore I will be going to the bar on the 31st. last wednesday.

I started out at Woolacombe and Croyde beach two years ago and needless to say I'm hooked . I would like to start again this year, any girls joining in or want to meet up in the above named bar?
