Coming to Ghana in the Summer« on: February 12 2012 04:02:00 »
I am not too sure if u r still in Ghana?! I am in London at the moment but will be coming to Ghana, Accra for the summer. Are there any great spots to go surfing? Anything new you discovered? Is it safe for females? I used to live in Cali and always wanted to surf, didnt have the time there, certainly not happening in Lndn so Accra it is!
Hope to hear from you soon (or anyone else for that matter! ;o),

For any information on surfing in Ghana or elsewhere in Africa you guys can check out the non-profit webguide at www.GoSurfAfrica.com.
Here you can find surf spot guides surf shops and surf camps in Ghana and other African countries. Have you for instance considered pushing it further west than the surfers hot spot of Busua (Ghana) and into Ivory Coast? Here you'll also find a surf camp right on the other side of the border in Assinie.
Hope you'll all enjoy surfing in Africa. And remember surfing in Africa can help build a brighter future for the coninent. Read more on www.GoSurfAfrica.com under "About GoSurfAfrica.com".

Seems like I'll probably leave with my wife and kids to Accra in the end of the year as I got to work there. I just wonder if it is really possible to surf at Accra beach itself... as a skateboarder I'd love to learn to surf, and this could be my once in a lifetime chance to do it - what do you think? Is it ok to bring board and wetsuit along? And are there locals surfing? Also, I'd like to bring my Skateboard along - I'm not that good a skater, but I work in youth welfare momentarily and love to teach children to skate... I read something about a "Cowbell Ramp" in Accra - do you know if this one is still existent and in good condition? I'd appreciate your answer, have a good time,
