i am marrying a haitian lady and we will have a home in petit goave which isnt too far from jacmel. i have surfed in the carib for 30 years and i know cape haitian is way too far from where i am. if you can, i need all the info you can get me on jacmel, it seems like a clean wave that needs a ground swell to work. is it possible to get any surf equipment down there at all. since its in the south does it break in the winter or mainly just on cold fronts that stall in the mona passage. im glad that there are surfers there and would love to hook up sometime, travel is still iffy there, but company is nice. dan

Hey russell, would it be possible to rent a board down there? I'll also be stopping there for a day on a cruise.

I was a medical volunteer there and am creating a "Surf 4 Haiti" foundation to raise money for education in Haiti. I plan on kicking the foundation off this summer with a surf contest in San Diego and wanted to know if you would mind chatting with me. I'd love to know more about accessibility to surf spots, and a variety of other things. Thanks! Surf Tourism could be a huge help to kick off the economy.
