RE: beginner surf spots on oahu

To Jana, I can surf but i cant swim...(*blush*) I just really suck at staying paddling in anything choppy coz i have an injured back...so..i have read about Chicken Creek and Panics. Are either of these or any others more a sandy bottom style beach break?
