Heading out that way from Oct 1st to Oct 9th. Born and reared in Dublin but living in Aspen Colorado for the last five years. Recently learnt to surf in Mexico on two one month trips of surfing all day everyday. Looking to catch some Irish surf in the home country for the first time. i'm from dublin but spend all my summers in galway near clifden and am looking for advice on where are the best spots to surf around there. also looking for some surfers in the ares to surf with-don't have transport but will split cost of petrol.

Nearest place to clifden in summer for good surf is carrownisky strand i reckon.

Hey There, Myself and a friend are moving to the west coast for june, july and august (originally from Dublin) and I might get work in oranmore...good or bad place to live?? and most important where would be the nearest surf spot and any idea how long a drive that may take...any advice would be great,

Carrowniskey in Co Mayo a nice beach to surf. Allways agood crowd at weekends.Nice village Luisburgh close by.

I m a twenty years old french girl and i'm coming to galway for the whole month of july , maybe more, i m planning to get a job there but i really want to surf during my free time , i m for the moment very bad at that but really into as well.i'd be glad to meet some people who can advice me !!

any luck with galway surfing? i'm on my way over there from hawaii for 7 weeks. brought my wetsuit but not my board. wondering what you've found.
