Holidaying for a week in july!! Want to surf if possible« Reply #1 on: June 10 2014 15:06:00 »
Hello forum people!!
Im coming to Italy for the first time from Australia in the second week of july. Was hoping to surf and just wanting to know if the surf shop has hire boards or would anyone like to take me on a roadtrip if I pay for petrol and lunch afterwards? I would usually bring my own board but Im going on a cruise the week after and ill be trying to pack small. I know this forum is dated back a few years but thought I would try my luck.Hope I get some sort of response !! Either way I will check out the surf shop when I get there and ask for more info. I know im being hopeful for waves in summer too. But you never know!!

There are surf shops that also rent boards on most of the main spots. It's just that summer is not the best time to get waves. Two best spots in the Genoa area are Varazze and Levanto - here are some photos from my last trip to surf Levanto...

I moved to a wee village near Alba a year ago and would really like to do some surfing on my day off, I'm not so experienced and don't have my own board yet. Is there any good place for renting boards and good places for surfing you guys could recommand?
Thanks so much
