Maybe this reply comes a little too late...more than four years, actually. Anyway, there's a wooden surfboard builder in Chiba, Japan. His name is Nobihito Okawa and he's one of the very few people building exclusively wooden surfboards in the country. Check out his website http://www.nobbywoodsurfboards.com/
