NOw that you have decided to fly directly to puerto vallarta, the best place to go from there is Sayulita, 40 min away from Puerto Vallarta and then ..you will find lost of surfers who may give you the best advise, I perssonally would recomend to go to to Boca the pascuales after Puerto Vallarta and then LA Ticla , Michoacan (waves all over the year) ---then Nexpa---- and you can go on and on down to puesto escondido

Try to stop by El Corral, a little restaurant near the point. There's times when the break right in front of the restaurant is working. If not, you can hire a lancha to take to several breaks nearby and they'll either wait for you or come back and pick you up. Used to be able to enter off of the highway and trek to the beach but landowners are keeping people off of their land. Lancha's is a good break. I have friends that live there, so if you need a place to stay, I can recommend a few places. Luegos, Piedra.

Where is Lancha? I'm arriving in PVR on the 31st of this month and will have a friend that I'm learning with at Punta Mita (at Tranquila with Kemi) and then have two weeks to travel on my own starting Nov 5th. Am looking for suggestions!

Thanks Piedra... i was kinda thinking about going straight to Nexpa? But now you have made me think again. I have heard that there aren't that many waves around PV? Also, I heard that Sayulita is a longboarders wave (I ride a shortboard!)... is that true?

if you're wanting to hook up with some gringas, email me. I'm leaving in the a.m. (Nov 13) and meeting a friend in P.V.- going south. if we're in the same place, it might be cool to catch some waves w/ another chica.
