Whenever you travel - shop around. East Pacific Surf Camp has by far the largest assortment of new surf boards. Renting beat-up surf equipent is a waste of your precious vacation time and money. Sometimes the water gets cool and they can supply you with wetsuits and guides too.  Tell them Travis sent you.

Be careful of Nayarit.  That place is full of sharks.

Seriously, be very careful around and to the south of San Blass. I have surfed the area for years and there are SHARKS.  Especially the islands off the coast.  They get killer surf but you could just as easily make a shark documentary.
