I was wondering if anyone can recommend a safe hostel in Managua. I bought my plane ticket and my flight arrives at night. I want to wait until the morning to take the bus to the coast.

check out Hotel Brio in Gigante Beach: hotelbrio.com  We have nice reasonable rooms and offer surfing, fishing, and Spanish classes.  I also have a 2-bedroom house on the hill above Maderas beach that I could possibly rent.

I am actually looking for a place to stay for nearly a month... I need a "home base" something like an apartment in town (San Juan del sur) where i can lock up my stuff and adventure out.  anyone got any contacts for apartments in San Juan del Sur?  I dont really have a lot to spend... likewise, I dont expect much, just a clean safe place with a kitchen, bathroom, one bedroom, and a door that can be padlocked.

I am planning a one week surf trip to Nic with my son for July 27.  Looking for suggestions, guide, cost?  We speak enough Spanish to get along.

RE: places to stay; early Aug 07

I want to try and hook up with someone staying in NIc in early Aug (2-10).  I want to surf until I about pass out and then do it again (for cheap). If you are  staying for a month around that time can you spare a floor and a pillow. My amigo can not make it this trip so I have to scramble to find a way to make it happen.
