I'm sure he's already gone, if not, and he is a kook then there is nothing to worry about, if not he'll see thru the bullshit on this site.

You will love Nicaragua. I own property in Montelimar and the beachs and surf are perfect (Marbella). I found the locals nice and do not laugh at me to much since I am not spanish friendly. My nephew just got back and he loved it (surfing). Keep an open mind and enjoy the beauty. The people are very poor but work like dogs. Its my pleasure to spend my little bucks in Nicaragua. Note $1 = 16.50 cords not a bad exchange. Have a fabulous time

This Nica poster is full of it. He just wants you to stay away. I live here in Nicaragua with my wife and two kids under 2 years old. I drive anywhere here with them looking for surf and pleasure and the people here are amazing. Airfare is pricey as are groceries. But living here is cheap. Best waves ever and many yet to be discovered. I was concerned about sharks, too, but there are no recorded attacks in the Pacific, only in the river San Juan and lake. Nicaragua Poster, stop the BS, for they'll come anyway. Save some energy for the surf.

Its amazing that the posting reads costs and all their is is a bunch of BS negitivity. Your the same idiots who are loud enough to atract that sort of danger. Do your self a favor and learn some spanish, youll get by easier. Or maybe not its people like you who make it easier for people like me to get around

Nica: cool place, friendly people, inexpensive to eat/drink, very poor (oxcarts), hotels in SJDS range from luxe (Pelican) to dives (many by the beach restaurants). SJDS changing fast as real estate zooms. Read up, go now, enjoy, more tourists going every year.
