How much is the rate of the local instructors there? Is it cheap enough that you can pay them for a day's lesson?

hi! you said you learned how to surf in siargao. i tried the intro lesson at Club Manila East wave pool and i managed to stand on the board momentarily. we plan to hit the real waves and was wondering if siargao will have ""friendly" waves for beginners like me. we are planning to go there this friday. are there waves this time of the year? if yes, what protective gear should I bring because i heard you kinda fall on rocks/reef. not that i'm a pussy, just want to make sure my mom won't freak out when she sees all those rocks!
