What's the intention of the person asking the question?
Are you trying to find shapers in the Philippines who are Pinoy or are you looking for shapers in the Philippines or are you just asking if there are any Pinoys, not necessarily in the Philippines, who shape?
Yes there are shapers in the Philippines, some are Pinoy some are not. And yes there are Pinoys outside of the Philippnes who do shape. Shaping takes some time to perfect. There's the foam that one has to master forming; the glassing that decides the strength; the type of cloth ie. 4 or 8 ounces; the sanding, especially the rails; fin setup, how far, how wide, etc. It's not something that you want to get into unless you have the help.

There was a guy who I met in Daet last year who was very much into shaping boards way back into the 90's. He was even blowing his own PU blanks. Unfortunately he was ahead of the times for surfboard manufacturing to be a profitable venture. Also Stuart Caddin was in Siargao in the mid 90's thinking of doing his boards, but he went home to look after interests there.
