I was in Samui in March, there was a mad swell there.. Hired a board on Chaweng Beach.. Their expensive to hire, but if your hungry enough.Watch the rips if it does go off.. If you get a good day, go bout half a mile down the main rd in Chaweng.

i'm going next week from 28th Oct to 5th Nov to Thailand. Better to go to Phuket or to Ko Samui for some surfs? Its ending season in Phuket and beginning in Samui. Anybody there at the moment?

Hi, Theres been a couple of swells in Samui recently but nothing to shout about. According to local knowledge its the start of the swell season here so we should get some waves soon (sooner the better) Ive been here 6 months now without anything decent to paddle into, it almost makes you want to take up kiteboarding!!
Will be keen to give lessons to anybody just starting out, mail me if your in Samui soon.
